Part 1 Initial stages. Well, this is a 55 person treatment plant. Absolutely humongous! It would have been ‘convenient’ for it to have had lifting eyes on it or even for it to have been palleted to ‘facilitate’ getting it off the lorry. We always planned a ‘loose’ orchard for Cwtch Cabins of traditional native fruit trees. We have tried to use as many really local species as possible. 29 fruit trees are planned in all but with the piles of topsoil still on the ground and more to come I could only plant 22 this dormant season where I know that they will be safe from disruption. 22nd Feb and the water mains are in! One ‘business’ main at 50mm and one domestic at 25mm. Not entirely without hassle, lots of leaky joints as we had to have lots of reduction to go to the standpipes. Lads for Dwr Cymru were very good though and helped out and YAY, we know have 2 taps! There must be a ‘right way’ to unroll this pipe...100m of 50mm pipe, two people...hilarious and very energetic but I suspect that our way was NOT the ‘right way’ #newventure #campsite #muchmar

Minimum depth of water main is 750mm. Our stick is marked at 850mm. Sure don’t want installation to fail the rigorous Dwr Cymru inspection for lack of trench depth. 150m is a long way to go at this depth.
