Hellens – 01531 660504
Set in the rural landscape of Herefordshire, Hellens Manor is a much-loved historic Tudor/Jacobean home, owned by the Pennington Mellor Munthe Charity Trust, with an incredible tapestry of stories, characters, art, furniture, grounds and formal gardens. Hellens is open for guided tours from April to October along with our vintage tearoom. Hellens is a unique and exclusive venue for tailor-made weddings, retreats or events in an idyllic setting.

St Bartholomews Church
St Bartholomew’s dates from the 13th century and is of considerable architectural interest. The church is normally open from 9am until 6.30pm in summer – closing earlier in winter. If you visit our church, give yourself plenty of time to look round.
The Norman tub font is mid12th century and is the sole remaining relic of the Norman Church which once stood on the site.
Beside the church, hidden by trees, is the motte where Mortimer’s Castle once stood. It is thought that the church tower could have been built from the stone that once formed the castle walls.
Inside the church are several beautifully carved tombs.

MARCH - Kempley & Dymock Daffodil Walks (3 weeks)

Explore the pretty countryside, orchards and woodland surrounding the village of Dymock on this circular walk in the Forest of Dean. The trail runs for about 9 miles through Dymock Woods and Kempley Green with lots of wild Daffodils to look out for in early spring. Also look out for bluebells and butterflies in the section through Dymock Woods. To extend the walk you could further explore the woods which include Hay Wood and Queen's Wood.
The Poet's Path also runs past Dymock. You could pick this up and enjoy a walk along the river Leadon to Ketford.

Hellensmusic is a music festival that takes place every Spring in and around Hellens Manor, Herefordshire. The event’s aims are threefold: to create opportunities for world-class musicians to collaborate outside the concert circuit and explore new ideas; to provide a platform for talented music students to learn from leading experts; and to bring great music to this corner of England, inspiring local audiences, both children and adults, to a greater understanding and appreciation of all music.
Hellensmusic has a strong focus on music education and training for the young. The main concerts take place in the early evenings, and during the day the resident musicians deliver a series of masterclasses to talented students from the best music schools and colleges. During a week of intense musical work, students have the chance to learn from renowned professionals from some of the best orchestras and ensembles in the world, receiving fresh, candid advice at a crucial time in their development. The course culminates in two final concerts where they have the opportunity to show what they learned throughout the week and to perform side by side with their tutors.

Much Marcle Model Show will provide facilities and support to enthusiasts of aero modelling - both building and flying. Over the years the Club has come to concentrate on radio-controlled fixed wing model aircraft powered by internal combustion engines or, increasingly, by electric motors and etc.
